Meet Our Team!
Get to know the amazing people behind Pondo Beach Camps.
We’d love to meet you!
Matt is no stranger to exploration and adventure having embarked on and led many trips into and around Africa and Antarctica. His love for wildlife and conservation, combined with his knowledge and passion for Africa and particularly the Wild Coast, makes him the perfect adventure business owner.
Tim, having spent 20 years in education, eight of which as a Headmaster, and having explored the jungles of Cameroon and the glaciers of Antarctica, guided in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya, and fished virtually every piece of African water south of the equator, is the perfect host to ignite your passion for Africa and entertain you with stories about some of its charms. Tim is passionate about leadership and he has lectured on this topic to various audiences over the past few years. Tim oversees all staff, logistics and finances.
Cam, together with her two trusty blonde sidekicks, ensure the magic is made behind the scenes. Cam’s knowledge of South Africa’s coastline, having walked the entire 3000km of it from Namibia to Mozambique, combined with her dazzling culinary and 4×4 skills, equip her as the ultimate ground crew where logistical challenges are met on an hourly basis.
Whether the topic be milking a cow, baiting a hook, Pale Ale, lipstick or an Excel spreadsheet, Gina will have the answer or at least a very informed opinion of it! A born and bred ‘plaas-mesisie’, her holidays were spent roaming the Wild Coast and learning life’s invaluable lessons along the way. Her love of life and the wildlife, combined with her sense of adventure and ability as an outdoors-woman, make her both a phenomenal travel companion as well as the perfect person to ask for assistance or advice in this regard. She can not only talk the talk in the office, but walks the walk on the wild side better than any!
